First English Lutheran and Mount Zion Lutheran joined together as a two-point congregation parish to provide a Lutheran identity to the witness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ within the community of Punxsutawney, PA and surrounding areas. The Punxsutawney Lutheran Parish is affiliated with the Northwestern PA Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. First English Lutheran is located in downtown Punxsutawney on the corners of Gilpin and Pine Streets. Mount Zion Lutheran is located at 2105 Airport Road (2 miles west of Route 119 at the village of Bells Mills). Both congregations have weekly worship services with traditional Lutheran liturgy and Holy Communion
